The CEO posted bail of $1,500.00 on September 6th, 2022 after being arrested for the charge of Battery as addressed by the company as a domestic-related misdemeanor.
Based on the archived mugshot posted on mugshots. zone Kurtin was arrested in Miami-Dade County on the battery charge on September 5th which would be some time Monday before posting bail and being released on Tuesday.
Additionally, based on court documents a stay-away order has been issued with no pre-trial conditional victim contact allowed. Kurtin’s arraignment hearing based on Miami-Dade County Clerk records is scheduled to be held on September 30 under docket number M-22-017755.

Abner-Kurtin is both the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) as well as the Portfolio Manager for JM10 Partners Fund. The fund was established in 2018 with the purpose to invest growth capital into the cannabis industry; two private equity funds operate under this cause.
Mr. Kurtin has over 20 years of experience in the area of opportunity capital. He previously founded K Capital Partners, a multibillion-dollar hedge fund, and Ca2 Group, a high-end real estate development firm in Massachusetts before joining AWH.
Mr. Kurtin began his company career at The Baupost Group and was a member of the President’s Council of Massachusetts General Hospital as well as Chairman of Hill House. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
