New Conference Activation to Provide Education & Networking Opportunities Promoting Diversity and Equity for Minority Entrepreneurship

In exciting news, Black Cannabis Magazine will have a powerful presence at this year’s MJBizCon. The annual conference, which was founded in 2011, has grown from a grassroots movement to a professional B2B event spanning four days and with over 35,000 attendees and 1,400+ vendors.

Black Cannabis Magazine and CEO Haze Palmer have brought a wide array of diverse opportunities to the established conference helping highlight opportunities for minorities within the cannabis sector.

Black Cannabis Magazine & MJBizCon 2022

Today, November 16th, MJBiz is partnering with Black Cannabis Magazine/BCM to present a panel of experts discussing how BIPOC operators and industry participants can enter and excel in the legal cannabis market.

Haze Palmer – otherwise known as Hazey Taughtme -, the Founder of Black Cannabis Magazine, will moderate a panel to discuss Building on 2%: The State of BIPOC Cannabis and the Opportunities Ahead. He will be joined by Freeway Rick Ross, the Founder of LA Kingpins as well as Bonita Money, the Founder and Executive Director of NDICA/National Diversity & Inclusion Cannabis Alliance.

The first-ever all-Black Panel, with additional panelists consisting of Jamal Weathers, CEO at Kush Boys Worldwide, and LaQuita Honeysucker, Civil Rights & Community Action at UFCW, United Food & Commercial Workers International Union, will be held in South Hall Upper, 227 from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm.

On Wednesday evening, Black Cannabis Magazine will be hosting a private mixer that is sponsored by Gumbo. For those of you who don’t know, Gumbo is a well-known NY brand that has recently partnered with the global cannabis brand, Cookies.

Hazey Taughtme Talks Impact of MJBizCon Diversity Village

Haze Palmer, also known as “Hazey Taughtme,” is the entrepreneur and media personality behind Black Cannabis Magazine. Haze is based in L.A. and is best known for creating the popular internet radio station Haze. He co-founded and co-owns a cannabis brand with his business partner “Just Mary.”Hazey Taughtme

It’s about providing resources to members of communities who have been disproportionally impacted by the policies of cannabis prohibition. And that’s what we’re doing at MJBizCon!”

MJ BizCon Diversity Village Takeover Experience

The “Diversity Village Takeover Experience”, sponsored by Cookies, THC Metaverses Boycott Shitty Weed, PolitiKan Broadcasting, We Are The Cultures History W.A.T.C.H. THE CULTURE and Haze Hope Center is a one-of-a-kind event that provides upscale showrooms for cannabis brands owned by black and brown entrepreneurs. This experience offers consumers the chance to learn more about these products in an interactive environment.

The outside theater will show panels, lectures, and concerts while the Gallery displays educational materials, news stories, and past issues of Black Cannabis Magazine.
