She has now entered into a partnership with Neptune Wellness Solutions based in Canada to launch a line of CBD-infused products under the Forest Remedies brand of the company. The brand also offers a range of hand sanitizers for preventing the spread of Novel Coronavirus.
Preserving Fragile Ecosystems
Dr. Goodall stated in a press release, “The health of people, animals, and the environment are interconnected; this pandemic demonstrates this. However, if we all make ethical choices, every day, our collective power for change is great.”
Neptune Wellness Solutions has made a donation of $25,000 to the Jane Goodall Institute. 5 percent from the sales of Forest Remedies CBD products would also be donated to the institute for saving endangered species that are on the brink of extinction.
It will also be utilized to preserve life-sustaining, fragile ecosystems from industrial destruction. Furthermore, Neptune Wellness donated a portion of the sales made by its Forest Remedies product range to One Tree Planted which is a non-profit organization devoted to planting trees in deforested areas of the rainforests of Amazon.

The Amazon rainforest is one of the most vital ecosystems on our planet. Apart from being home to the most diverse wildlife populations, the Amazon also regulates the oxygen levels and global temperatures. The demand for beef and paper products all over the world has led to a loss of massive strips of the rainforest.
Renewed focus on Self-Care
Michael Cammarata, the CEO of Neptune Wellness said in a press release, “In light of COVID-19, we believe there will be renewed focus and emphasis on personal self-care. The purchasing decisions consumers make to support their health and wellness will have a lasting impact on the environment and our collective health and wellness.”

Researchers in Israel and Canada are already studying whether CBD can stop or control the detrimental effects of the virus in human patients.
